Emergency is one of the three PAPDA’s pillars which deals with emergencies triggered by natural, manmade and others. The aim is to prevent and reduce the harmful effects of all hazards, including disasters and save the lives of its target communities in Ethiopia. In this vein, PAPDA has been involved in emergency response in Somali and Oromia Regions since 2006 by delivering food items such as rice, wheat, beans, edible oil, etc.. and nonfood items such as blankets, jerrican, plastic sheets, dignity kits, etc… to the people who are affected by conflict, natural disasters and climate changes.
