National and regional service delivery systems have strengthened their capacity to provide lifesaving sexual and reproductive health and gender-based Violence information and services for populations affected by the Crisis.

Summary of the Project

This UNFPA-funded project implements a comprehensive strategy targeting gender-based violence (GBV), protection from sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA), and sexual and reproductive health (SRH).

  • Activities include awareness sessions, Women and Girls Friendly Spaces, financial aid for GBV survivors, PSS, and life skills
  • Distribution of reusable sanitary pads, establishment of referral pathways, and capacity-building training.
  • Support for women-to-women groups, adolescent peer discussions, maternity waiting rooms, and delivery rooms.
  • Dignity Kits distribution and survey on GBV-IE and SRH in specified Somali Region woredas.

  • Strengthening protection/GBV coordination and review meetings for effective collaboration and monitoring
