Following the survey report’s launch, the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative (HHI) and the PAPDA team met at PAPDA’s head office for a short project evaluation.

During the evaluation, participants examined challenges encountered and how they were overcome throughout the project’s implementation, facilitating an open and constructive discussion. This evaluation process celebrated the accomplishments and successes and offered ideas for similar future projects, mainly focusing on awareness and sensitization about transitional justice and peacebuilding. Other possible project areas discussed were mental health and psychological support, livelihood, and empowerment programs for conflict-affected communities.

The participants agreed to work together on research on different topics and possibly on a region-specific basis. Generally, the groundwork was laid for a more resilient approach to future initiatives related to justice, peace, and reconciliation in Ethiopia.

The collaboration between PAPDA and HHI underscores the commitment to contributing to peacebuilding in the country.
