Summary of the Project

This Project funded by the Brot für die Welt will commence from April 2024 to March 2026, aimed to empower communities and enhance the digital capacity of the Partnership for Pastoralist Development Association (PAPDA) in Ethiopia.

The overall objective of this project is to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and impact of PAPDA’s operations and service delivery by leveraging the use of technology while ensuring the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability of resources.

This project aims to:

  • Building Digital Capacity: PAPDA staff will get advanced digital training, equip them to manage development projects more effectively. 85% of trained staff will be able to acquire knowledge of digital tools and platforms to initiate, execute, and monitor programs successfully.
  • Empowering Communities: Over 5,000 community members will be trained on using digital tools for mobile money transfers, accessing market information, and promoting women’s empowerment and peaceful coexistence.
  • Strengthening Cybersecurity: Furthermore, the project  prioritizes security by reducing cybersecurity risks and ensuring safer digital operations for the organization and the communities it serves.

This initiative reflects our commitment to bridging the digital divide and fostering sustainable development in pastoralist communities. By combining modern technology with local expertise, we aim to create long-term positive impacts in education, financial inclusion, and governance.
