Job Title: Human Resource Officer

 

  • Main duties and responsibilities:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and innovative Human Resource Officer with a flair for creativity and a strong aptitude for technology to join our team. As a Human Resource Officer, He / She will play a pivotal role in driving creative HR initiatives and leveraging technology to enhance our human resource management practices and ensuring effective human resource management within our organization.

  • Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Recruitment and Selection: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making recommendations for hiring decisions. Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
  • Onboarding and Orientation: Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization. Conduct orientation sessions to familiarize employees with company policies, procedures, and benefits. Provide support and guidance to new employees during their integration period.
  • Employee Relations: Promote positive employee relations through effective communication and relationship-building strategies.
  • Performance Management: Assist in the implementation and administration of performance management programs. Collaborate with managers to set performance goals, conduct performance reviews, and provide guidance on performance improvement plans. Identify training and development needs based on performance evaluations.
  • HR Policies and Procedures: Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Training and Development: Coordinate and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge. Identify training needs and work closely with managers to develop training plans. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Administer employee compensation and benefits programs, including payroll processing, leave management, and employee benefits enrollment. Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll-related documentation.
  • HR Administration: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations. Prepare HR reports and  metrics for management review. Assist in the development and implementation of HR projects and initiatives.
  • Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience (2 years and above for BA and 1 Year and above for MBA) in HR Officer or similar HR role, preferably within the humanitarian NGO sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficient in HRIS software and MS Office Suite.
