Transforming Lives through WASH Initiatives

We are thrilled to share the latest progress report on our Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) activities. In this first update, we focus on successfully rehabilitating two hand-dug wells, particularly the Hawal Hadji well, which now boasts a new lease on life thanks to the installation of a solar pump and panel by PAPDA.

Empowering Communities: Impactful Numbers

Through the diligent rehabilitation efforts encompassing hand-dug well schemes and strategic water trucking initiatives in five Kebeles, we’ve been able to reach and positively impact many individuals. 2,836 people, including 1,398 females, have benefited from these interventions.

Safe Water Distribution Milestones

Ensuring access to safe water remains a top priority. Our team has made significant strides by distributing safe water to 3,750 individuals, focusing on reaching 1,950 females through efficient water trucking operations. This involved procuring, transporting, and deploying five plastic water tankers, each with an impressive 10,000-liter capacity.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue our journey toward a healthier, more water-secure future for all. Together, we are making waves of positive change!
