PAPDA Weekly Update: Supporting Communities with Mosquito Nets and Cash Assistance

This week, we’re excited to share some great news on the work we’ve been doing to support the pastoralist communities:

  • IOM Donation: We’re grateful to the International Organization for Migration (IOM) for donating 1,000 mosquito nets to help protect families in Kelafo from mosquito-borne diseases. The mosquito nets were dispatched from our warehouse on October 2, 2024, and are now on their way to the target location for distribution.

  • Upcoming Cash Assistance: In the coming days, we’ll be working closely with Awash Bank and CCFC to transfer multi-purpose cash assistance to families in need. This support will help communities meet essential needs and boost their overall well-being.

Looking Ahead

Next week, PAPDA will continue its collaboration with our service providers and CCFC to ensure that cash assistance reaches the targeted kebeles. We’re committed to making a positive impact and will keep you updated on our progress!

Stay tuned for more updates from PAPDA as we work to improve the lives of Ethiopia’s pastoralist communities.
