This week, PAPDA made significant progress in supporting our target communities:

  • Emergency Shelter Supplies: We distributed essential shelter items, including 2 plastic sheets/tarpaulins and 2 ropes, to households in Shubo Kebeles. In total, 200 households (97 men and 103 women) received aid, along with special support for 21 pregnant and lactating women, 15 individuals with chronic illnesses, and 16 people with disabilities.

  • MPCA Progress: We’re moving forward with our agreement with Awash Bank to distribute Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance (MPCA). The plan is to begin distribution between October 1-5, 2024.

  • Visibility Efforts: Six billboards were designed and installed across the targeted kebeles to boost awareness, and 100 T-shirts were printed for visibility.

Looking Ahead Next Week:

  • We’ll complete the distribution of emergency shelter supplies.
  • Finalize the agreement with Awash Bank for the MPCA distribution.
